December 9, 2011 Day 9

Family Sushi Day

One of the things that Chris and I have done since the kids were little is try to expose them to as many different experiences as possible....including food.  Olivia loves sushi! There is not a kind she will not at least try.  She may not like them all but she will at least try them.  Owen will try them, he prefers the Hibachi shrimp, but at least he will try it.  I can never understand when parents say that there kids will only eat certain foods, or that there kids would NEVER eat something.  They may not like everything, but they have to at least try it.  Chris and I are like that, we love to try new things.  So hopefully this will carry with the kids to.

So today we went to the Sushi restaurant for lunch.  It was so good.  I think Olivia ate more that I did.  The kids do think that decorations of the sushi is pretty funny.  We tried the "volcano, dynamite, hollywood, and the seasoned dragon."  The Seasoned dragon was Olivia and my favorite.

After lunch it was home to "attempt" to get our Christmas card picture taken.  This is always NO fun.  Then Olivia is off to her 5th grade dance.  So hard to believe I am taking her to dances already.  These are held once a month for 5th and 6th graders at the YMCA.  She loves them.  She is looking to old to me.  This picture was after the dance.  Notice the red cheeks from dancing??? Love it.
