December 3, 2010 Day 3

Day 3 is all about lessons in life.  I pray each day that I am doing enough to teach them to always do the right thing!

 Olivia is having a food drive at her school.  She came home today to tell me that the class that brings in the most cans wins a pizza party! I asked her what they were collecting the food for? She said "it was for people that did not have any food, and everyone needs to have food, especially at the holiday's."  So we went to the store and bought 6 cases of Raman Noodles! WOW how that brought back memories! Each case had 12 in it so we took 70 "items" to school for her class, they are now in 1st place! Keep your fingers crossed, Olivia wants to go buy more "just to be sure."  Owen wanted to know where he could take the food we have at our house "cuz we had lots to give."  Oh how proud I am!

Speaking of life lessons, choosing to adopt an adult animal is a wonderful way that we have taught our children how everyone deserves a second chance.  Here are our two wonderful Pitty's.  There favorite place?? Yep right in front of the fireplace.  I think they deserve it after what they have been through! Stella the black one we have had for 3 years, and Cooper we have had for about 5 months.  They are part of the family.....of course!
